I am so excited to share one of my all time favorite Halloween DIYs with you today! Have you seen the amazing pumpkins Target is carrying in the Dollar Spot this year? I was thrilled to see black and white pumpkins with a bit of sparkly orange thrown in there. Make a Target run for supplies then follow along to see how I turned them into a modern pumpkin topiary.

You’ll need:

Cut a 6″ circle out of cardboard. This is going to be placed near the top of the cauldron so make sure it fits well.

Paint the top of the cardboard with black acrylic paint.

The paint should dry quickly, but while you’re waiting go ahead and place the floral foam in the cauldron until it reaches just below the top. If you’re using a few short pieces of foam like I did, make sure to glue them together.

When the paint is dry glue the cardboard to the top of the foam.

Decide what order you want the pumpkins to be stacked. You’ll need to take the stems off of the bottom and middle pumpkins. Gently pull the stem up and then use scissors to cut it off.

The decorative vase filler was a Dollar Tree find. Go around the cauldron hot gluing a few of the balls down at a time.

Keep going until it looks nice and filled in. I love how it kind of looks like boiling bubbles spilling out of the cauldron.

The topiary turned out better than I could have imagined! I just love the balance of colors. What style of pumpkins would you use to decorate your home?
